January 9, 2022, Bob Saget, America’s favorite TV dad was found dead in his Ritz-Carlton hotel room in Orlando, Florida. Saget is best known for his role as Danny Tanner on the sitcom Full House, as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989-1997, and as a stand-up comedian. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, officers found his body Sunday around 4 pm after his wife, Kelly Rizzo was worried when he didn’t return back to Los Angles Sunday morning. According to The Los Angeles Times, deputies and paramedics found Saget dead lying face up with his left arm across his chest and his right arm resting on the bed. They also stated that the room itself was in order and there was no sign of foul play.

Saget’s body was sent to the Orange County Medical Examiner and on January 10, Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany released a statement commenting that  “At this time, there is no evidence of drug use or foul play.” However, he also stated that the manner of death would need further investigation which could take 10-12 weeks to complete.

Saget released an Instagram post with a tribute honoring Betty White after her death on December 31st at age 99. His heart-warming message went viral just after his death. He also mentioned that White couldn’t wait to reunite with her husband, Allen Ludden, who passed away in 1981, saying, “I don’t know what happens when we die,” confessed Saget, “but if Betty says you get to be with the love of your life, then I happily defer to Betty on this.”

Saget’s legacy on the entertainment industry has been felt as many of his former co-stars from Full House–John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Bure, Jodie Sweetin–have expressed their grief at Saget’s passing on various social media accounts.

Dave Coulier posted on Instagram, “I’ll never let go, brother. Love you”.
