Cass Teacher Named November’s Classroom Hero
Stefanie Rolen, a beloved Cass High teacher, has been named Bartow County’s Classroom Hero for the month of November. Ms. Rolen has been teaching for a total of sixteen years and has worked at Cass High for eleven of those sixteen years. She teaches geometry and advanced mathematical decision making, but she also has a lot to do with the various amazing events that take place at Cass, such as leading Student Government and arranging the Homecoming dance.
Ms. Rolen was thrilled when she received the award, saying, “I am very humbled and appreciative to be called a hero. The students’ dedication to loving blue and living gold encourages me to continue being the best I can be.” Her enthusiasm for teaching leaves a long-lasting impact on students; one of her former students, Savannah Trouten, commented on a Facebook post about Rolen’s accomplishment, saying, “You deserve that truly because you are always there for your students in and out of class. I am very proud to say I was in your class and that you are one of the best teachers I’ve ever had.”
Rolen’s caring and fun personality, as well as her great work ethic, is obvious even to students she’s never taught in the classroom. Noah Arnold, a Cass High senior, talked about his appreciation of Ms. Rolen: “Though I’ve never had Ms. Rolen, I can say that through the interactions I’ve had with her, she truly deserves this award. Ms. Rolen works so hard behind the scenes just to better the high school experience for the students of Cass High. No one deserves this award more than she does.”
Ms. Rolen is a wonderful teacher and always goes above and beyond for our Colonel Nation. Bartow County Schools’ Facebook page perfectly summed up Rolen’s excellence, saying, “Ms. Rolen is the biggest cheerleader for the students at CHS. She heads up our Student Government, Homecoming, Changing of the Guard, Senior Cook Out, and many other school events. Her students love her because they know she loves them and wants to be the best for all of them. Ms. Stefanie Rolen is a true COLONEL and a Classroom Hero at CHS.” Congratulations to Ms. Rolen!
